Employers’ Liability (Employees’ Compensation)

Covers the legal liabilities of the insured employer towards his employees. The liability covered is very often classified into the following two types Liability under the Employees’ Compensation Ordinance: A statutory liability which is placed upon an employer to pay compensation in stipulated amounts to employees or their dependents in respect of injury or death caused by accident arising out of and in the course of their employment. Liability independent of the EC Ordinance (common law liability). This is employers’ liability that arises otherwise than under the EC Ordinance, and relates to liability in tort (mainly negligence) in respect of death of or injury to employees, again arising out of and in the course of their employment.

Products Liability

Covers liability in respect of injury or damage caused by goods sold, supplied or repaired, services rendered, etc. and happening elsewhere than at premises owned or occupied by the insured.

Public Liability

Policy covers liability in respect of death, injury or property damage that is not insurable by specialized liability insurances such as motor insurance, EC insurance, products liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.
